FXOnline Japan launched its new CFD (Contracts for Difference) dealing service on Monday 23 March 2009. The Japanese arm of IG Group now offers Share CFDs, Stock Indices and Forwards, plus the first ever Binary Options service in Japan, with additional markets to be added in stages.

Over 2500 products will be offered to trade initially, including forex (FX), with approximately 500 Japanese shares and 30 stock indices to trade, making it the largest range of such markets offered in Japan.

Eventually, the range of markets will cover around 9000 products worldwide.

FXOnline CEO James D. Gow says: 'We have managed to introduce around 9000 markets as part of a wide range of financial products, and uniquely binary options, due to our comprehensive partnership with IG Group. We hope to continue providing services in Japan that are already popular overseas and the latest trading functionality to our customers.'

Products such as commodities, interest rates and bonds will be added in stages. Segregated funds will be kept in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s trust account, as with FXOnline’s FX business.
