User Experience Designer

We are recruiting top quality Senior and Mid-weight User Experience Designers/Researchers to join a central UX department that drives our business and profession to excellence. We're looking for someone with at least five years' industry experience (for our senior role) and three years' experience (for the mid-weight role).

In return, we can offer you a dynamic environment where you'll work closely with key figures in the business, including visual designers and programmers. You'll be creating innovative products and services, from conception through all stages of optimisation.

Job responsibilities

• You'll be balancing stakeholder requirements, resource, user needs and the strong personal desire to innovate. We need people who can identify and build close relationships with key members of the organisation in order to achieve UX excellence.
• We operate in a complex and niche domain: a B2C environment where user goals and motivations are hard to come by. We find ourselves looking for new ways to gather data and push UCD.

Essential criteria

• You excel in Information Architecture, Interaction Design and consulting within a business environment.
• You have a proven record of design evaluation using research methods including usability testing.
• You are able to apply UCD principles across multiple touch points including mobile, web, social media and the real world.
• You'll have an MA in HCI or IXD, or, if not, the equivalent experience as a UCD practitioner (around ten years in this case). Degrees in Psychology, Product Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science and other related subjects are also relevant.
• You'll have specialised in either internationalisation, remote research or service design.
