QA Software Tester
We are looking for an experienced Manual Software Tester with at least three years' full-time commercial experience of testing within software delivery. You must have a solid understanding of testing methodologies and their application, including; UAT, system integration testing and regression testing. You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as an energetic and analytical approach to problem solving.
Job responsibilities
- Work within the Quality Assurance team to test new functionality as well as regression testing a multitude of different software applications
- Converse directly with the Business and IT teams to ensure suitable understanding of requirements and required test coverage
- Raise and manage any defects identified throughout the software development life cycle
- Contribute to the IG Group quality assurance strategy
- Work as part of an Agile/Scrum development team
Essential criteria
- Three to five years of testing experience within software delivery
- ISEB software testing foundation certified
- Experience of working on a J2EE website
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies and their application, including UAT, system integration testing and regression testing
- Experience of iterative/Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
