IG Group and its constituent businesses have consistently won industry awards in recent years, recognising everything from our overall quality of service, through to technology and top employer awards.

No.1 in the UK

IG Index and IG Markets were independently confirmed as the UK's most popular financial spread betting provider and CFD provider respectively, in a 2011 report by research agency Investment Trends.

The survey found that more than 60% of all active spread bettors hold an account with IG Index, while more CFD users are trading with IG Markets than with any other supplier. These statistics confirm the market leading status of IG Group's UK businesses in their respective fields.

Other UK awards

At the MoneyAM Online Finance Awards 2010, IG Index took home the award for Best Spread Betting Service, as well as being named Best Overall Online Provider and winning in the Best Online Charts category. Other recent awards for the company include:

IG Markets was once again named Best CFD Provider at the 2011 Shares Magazine Awards, following on from our award the previous year. In addition, IG Markets once again excelled in the latest Investment Trends report, ranking first for overall customer satisfaction, charting and mobile platform/app. IG Markets also rated highly in several key performance categories, including:

IG Group awards

IG Group was ranked number one in both the Quality of Marketing and Speciality & Other Finance categories at the 2010 Britain's Most Admired Companies awards. Also in 2010, Shares Magazine named IG Group Financial Provider of the Year. These awards stand as evidence of the high regard in which the Group is held by customers and competitors alike.

In addition, IG Group was recognised as one of Britain's Top Employers in 2011, based on independent research by the CRF Institute. The study concluded that IG Group demonstrates a real passion for success, has outstanding HR policies, and offers excellent working conditions to its staff.

Overseas recognition

IG Markets Australia began the year by winning Best CFD Provider for the third year running at TheBull 'Stockies' Awards 2011. This award was a welcome addition to a host of other Australian awards, including:

In addition, IG Group's Japanese business IG Markets Japan was recently awarded first place in the forex category of Oricon's Customer Satisfaction Ranking Awards in 2011. Oricon is one of Japan’s leading independent market research firms, and we have now won this award for two years in a row.

We have also taken awards in Spain, with our online trading platform (IG Trader/PureDeal) named Best CFD Platform in 2008 and 2009 by the readers of weekly financial magazine Mi Cartera de Inversión.
