Client Services Assistant

We are looking for a Senior Client Services Assistant to join the Client Services team in our Melbourne office. Job responsibilities include:

  • Client services. Responding to client queries about accounts, transfers, statements etc on the phone and via email, as well as serving as back up for the dealing desk
  • Client data maintenance. Processing changes to client details, scanning in essential documents, monitoring emails and amending details as required
  • Dispute resolution. Investigating client disputes by listening to phone calls or analysing Internet dealing logs

The ideal candidate will be a graduate with at least two years' experience in either customer services or in an administrative/IT helpdesk role. You will have an eye for detail, excellent telephone etiquette and strong technical and trouble shooting abilities. You should be numerate, have sound administrative skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The ability to cope with pressure is important, as is a flexible approach. You should be able to take proactive action when necessary, and have a logical and analytical style of thinking.

Trader Support - Shares

An opportunity has risen in our trading support tream in the UK office. You will be expected to work closely with the IT and accounts departments to create new reports and improve existing procedures. Responsibilities include: 

  • Looking after all funding and borrowing calculations as well as dividends
  • Administrating custody accounts and maintaining the dealing system
  • Updating stock exposure limits and quoting sheets
  • Reconciling broker trades
  • Dealing with client queries relating to all of the above

It is essential that you are IT literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven numerical/analytical abilities. Experience of Excel VBA and Microsoft Access would be an advantage. Prior knowledge of shares trading and settlement is useful but not essential. You will have excellent telephone manner and have a good understanding of the financial markets. Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure are other requirements. You will also be organised and flexible in your approach, as a sizeable part of the job depends on market conditions.

Private Client Sales

Due to rapid expansion, we require hard-working, articulate and confident individuals to join the Financial Private Client Sales team in the UK. You will be responsible for handling the complete sales process including explaining the concept of margin trading to prospective clients and converting them into dealing clients.

You must have a minimum of two years' financial sales experience, and be educated to at least a good A-level standard preferably to the degree level. As the role is predominantly telephone based it is essential that you demonstrate excellent sales, interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a professional and organised approach suited to a regulated product environment. Experience in forex and margin trading would be an advantage.

IT Opportunities

We have a number of vacancies within our IT Department and would love to hear from you if you are confident in your own ability, willing to work within a busy team environment, as well as being able to work on your own. 

User Experience Developer:

DHTML (3 years); JavaScript (3 years); CSS (between 2 and 3 years); Cross-browser development (3 years); AJAX (2 live sites); JSP (2 years). You should have experience of working with complex layouts with frames / iframes and / or AJAX, and developing for IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Netscape.

L2 Developer:

We have a vacancy for a hands-on team lead for the front-end development of our market leading DMA (Direct Market Access) Trading platform. The platform allows clients to trade Equities and Futures directly with the world's financial markets, as well as allows access to our own CFD products such as FX, commodities, indices and binaries.

We would love to hear from you if you come from a programming background with at least five years of extensive experience in .NET and Java. You should have exposure to FIX, and equities finance knowledge will be a distinct advantage.

Java Core Dealing Developer:

As a Java Core Dealing Developer you should have at least three years' experience in core Java back-end development, preferably with a focus on grid-based high volume and low latency applications. Familiarity with the Spring Framework, JMX, JMS/Remoting and Unix/Linux usage (including scripting) is desirable. C++ experience is useful but not required.

HEAT Administrator:

As a hands-on HEAT (FrontRange) Administrator, you will work on incorporating the HEAT system and processes into the current business processes. You will have at least 18 months proven SQL experience, solid understanding of HEAT-type systems and the ability to become the main HEAT report designer and data analyst for HEAT users.
