While being valuable, these clients also demand the very best from our services, and we aim to meet their needs as they evolve over time by expanding and adapting our suite of products and platform functionality, both proactively and reactively. 

While active traders are our core market, we remain conscious of the importance of delivering an excellent trading experience for all of our clients.

We are currently the No.1 global provider of CFDs and financial spread betting,1 and our aim is to become the default choice for active traders. Our market leadership is a reflection of our strengths in both customer service and our product and platform offering.

The size and scale of our business is important for our continued profitability and long-term success, and we will remain focused on achieving, maintaining or extending the lead in all the markets where we operate.

  • Maintained our UK market leadership position in the UK for CFDs and financial spread betting
  • Maintained leadership position in Australia and increased lead in France
  • Successful launch of IG TV and the IG video app
  • Various improvements to client onboarding process showing positive results

We have sales offices in 14 countries, enabling us to recruit and serve clients all around the world.

Our single global brand identity – IG – and uniform platform help us to increase our reach and grow the global footprint of our business in a cost-effective manner. This includes targeting new countries beyond those where we have offices, using lighter versions of the IG website.

  • Opened for business in Switzerland with a full banking licence
  • Received regulatory approval and opened an office in Dubai 
  • Achieved rapid growth in Nadex in the US
  • Single brand of IG enabled first global brand campaign across 13 countries in 2015
  • Launched 17 lighter versions of the IG website to target new countries
